Stablecoins
Ripple USD (RLUSD)
Ripple's US-dollar-backed stablecoin, issued natively on XRPL and other supported networks.
OVERVIEW
What Ripple USD (RLUSD) does
Ripple USD is designed to maintain a one-US-dollar value and is backed by a segregated reserve of cash and cash equivalents. On XRPL it uses the ledger's issued-token functionality and has a documented issuer account. RLUSD and XRP are separate assets. Activity in RLUSD may add ledger use and trading pairs, but it does not mean each RLUSD transfer creates equivalent buying demand for XRP.
